Wines of Germany China awards best importers
The award ceremony began with a look back at 2022 and an outlook on the activities planned for 2023 relating to wines from the 13 German wine-growing regions.
Keen interest in German wines
After the presentation, importers who have made a special contribution to German wine and certified wine teachers were honored for their services.
Despite the recent Covid wave in China, a total of 60 German wine importers and wine professionals attended the event, which concluded with a dinner to which each importer brought a suitable wine accompaniment.
The following personalities and companies were honored in recognition of the great contributions of the wine educators and importers:

In addition, the "Best German Wine Educator" prize was awarded to two certified trainers who organized a large number of German Wine Academy basic courses in 2022:

German Wine Academy Level 2 Training
In cooperation with certified wine teachers, Wines of Germany China organized this year's advanced course (GWA-Level 2) on December 17th and 18th in Shanghai, in which a total of 35 German wine importers and traders took part. Under the direction of Mateus Wu and Ofilos Wu, 41 German wines from different grape varieties and regions were tasted, showing the great variety and quality of German wines.
New wine importers, distributors and retailers took the opportunity to expand their knowledge of German wine and receive tips on sales opportunities for German wines.
