Fine wine training for young diplomats in Berlin

29.11.2021

The German Wine Institute (DWI) once again held a training event for young diplomats. Around 40 guests took part in the event in Berlin. In a few years' time they will represent German interests in embassies and consulates around the world.

High quality wine as a brand ambassador for Germany

Right from the start, DWI Marketing Director Steffen Schindler made it clear with a twinkle in his eye what the future diplomats' real destiny should be: to use German wine as often and as positively as possible at high-quality events. After all, there is no other product that stands for enjoyable, cosmopolitan and cultivated Germany as much as Riesling, Pinot Noir and Co.

His lecture on the 13 German wine-growing regions, the most important grape varieties, winemaking and sensor technology was followed by a joint dinner with a representative selection of German wines.
